PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provides guidance and direction to contractor personnel and general contract administration. Directs and monitors results of services provided by contractor personnel at various company facilities, substations and gas gate stations (e.g., property protection, snow removal, landscaping, cleaning, trash removal, exterminating, minor facility maintenance and repairs, food and vending services.) Validates man-hours as reported on contractor time reports. Reviews invoices, expenditures and payments for accuracy and compliance with procedures and contract terms. May prepare formal contractor evaluations. Reviews and inspects contractor work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, regulatory agencies and safety and security requirements. Performs various landscaping and snow removal assignments operating a variety of equipment, such as chain saws and other small landscaping tools to large snow removal equipment. Responds to security concerns. Coordinates food catering services. Coordinates box moves (office relocations). Moves and arranges furniture and prepares specified accommodations for meetings and demonstrations. Is responsible for the procurement of materials and other supplies that are used to clean and maintain buildings, as well as pesticides and other chemicals used in grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge: Comprehension level sufficient to plan and perform all company agricultural, woodlands management, grounds maintenance and snow removal activities.
  • Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with contractors, professional consultants and supervisory level personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and direct the work activities of contract personnel and perform all necessary related administrative functions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a certified pesticide license if needed.
  • Ability to meet Company driving standards, including a valid driver's license.
  • Education/Experience: Over three years work related experience or successful completion of post-high school courses in business or contract administration, or the equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.
