The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the FP&A teams consolidation of O&M and Capital cost, as well as executing various financial modeling deliverables, including but not limited to income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for the Long Range Plan (LRP), monthly Latest Estimates (LE), and other ad-hoc scenario models. Required to produce and occasionally deliver presentations and reports to senior management.  Must be able to fulfill ad hoc requests from various internal and external sources to support decision-making and provide necessary insight to executives, managers, department heads and line personnel. Individual must be flexible, proactive and able to work with ambiguity. Individual must be able to commit to the time requirements of this position, which may demand extended hours at times.

  1. Assist with the consolidation and reporting on the Latest Financial Estimates (LE) and Long Range Plan (LRP) Development for Baltimore Gas & Electric. Provide financial analysis and reporting to management on various income statement, balance sheet, cash flow drivers. Work with personnel to control and manage costs. Forecast performance against goals, plans and budgets. Bring a financial perspective to daily operations. Prepare and review month-end, quarterly and full-year forecast/reports up to and including: executive reporting packages, monthly financial close packages, quarterly management meeting presentations
  2. Assist in preparation of various reports and data requests and answers ad-hoc requests for internal and external reporting customers.  Routinely communicate actual performance compared to budget/plan/goals
  3. Build financial models to evaluate project an support key regulatory and financial decisions
  4. Functioning as a member of Exelon Finance Team with responsibilities for ensuring a financial perspective is brought to daily operations, proper classification (O&M vs Capital) and treatment is followed, and compliance with all managerial policies.
  5. Perform additional ad-hoc reporting and analysis at the request of leadership


  • 4 year degree in a finance or business-related field with 2-4  years of business-related experience and demonstrated success in finance or business operations.
  • MBA/CPA preferred
  • Effective financial analysis skills, combined with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to accounting principles, financial metrics and financial statement relationship
  • Thorough computer-based analytical skill (e.g. Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Experience with Financial Systems (Hyperion and/or Work Planning and Tracking (WPT) preferred
  • Working knowledge of business operations & industry practices
