PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Assists the attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex administrative duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. Under general direction, performs responsible, specialized and confidential legal assignments and research for specified area within the Law Department. Works closely with clients and with other legal and governmental agencies.

Qualifications
Minimum: |
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years professional legal experience in a specialized area of law |
- Possesses a general knowledge of law firm/corporate law dept. and legal practices and procedures, and of various court systems; familiar and highly adept in the use of computers and software packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as utilized by the Company |
- Requires excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation; requires excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail |
- Good initiative and judgment required in determining course of action in the occasional absence of supervisor or established procedures; willingness to accept increased responsibilities; ability to meet critical deadlines and be accountable for completion of tasks |
- Must communicate clearly – both orally and in writing – to read and analyze legal materials and other data, to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines - Possesses superior organizational skills to maintain department records and manage staff and workload schedules - Must be able to professionally communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies |
